Description:
Homemade African donut is a delicacy all over Africa. From kids to Adult, everyone loves it. From Nigeria to Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Ghana to East Africa countries Donut is known. With the flour mix, just add water, there are some optional ingredient you can also add if you like to make them more tasteful. Perfect for catering , occasions or just at home.

************Cooking with water:
Add warm water (little by little to make a paste) to the flour mix. Once you obtain the texture that you like, mix a little to make the batter, cover and let it sit for 15 to 20mn before frying them. Add more sugar if you like it sweeter. Do not over mix the batter, it will make them heavy and gummy in texture, not fluffy.

- unsalted butter
-2 or 3 eggs
-Lemon or Orange Zest
- Milk of your choice
1) Melt Butter and add eggs, orange zest, and warm milk. Mixed well with an egg whisk until all ingredients are incorporated.
2) In a mixing bowl, add the wet ingredients (little by little) to the dry ingredients ( mix flour) and mix lightly until smooth. cover the batter with clean cloth and Let it sit for 15mn to 20mn. DO NOT OVERMIX.
3) In a large saucepan, pour vegetable oil more than halfway full. Too little oil will result in flatter donut.
4) Test if the oil is hot enough by putting a drop of the batter in the oil. If the oil is hot enough, the batter will rise to the top almost. ENJOY!!!
